The most important thing you need to do is to program yourself mentally. Don’t use a scale to measure your progress. If you work out with weights, you may gain a few pounds while losing inches around the waist. Instead, use that pair of jeans that you want to fit into again, or a pair that fits you now. You’ll see a slight change every few weeks, and that should give you confidence.
You can lose tummy fat without exercise and it is just about going back to the basics. It is time to go back to eating healthy, staying active, living a stress-free life, getting enough sleep and disciplining yourself.
I didn’t eat enough calories a few days like 1000 prob because I just wasn’t Hungry the pounds just fell then I literally drunk with the chicken at the end of the night I then went up 5 pounds. I’m just getting a little frustrated every time I let go for the one night I lose my progress lol I want it to be consistent progress while being able to enjoy myself once or even twice a week without ruining my progress. Obviously, you want to keep your calories in a healthy range and avoid meals that are high in saturated fat. But research has also shown that eating more of certain foods can help you burn excess visceral fat and pave the way to a smaller middle.
Still try to consume as many veggies and fruits as possible. Even if you don’t enjoy carrots or salads, do what it takes to get yourself to eat them (e.g. plug your nose and chase bites of veggies with water like you did when you took medicine as a kid). You really have to try everything. Also, stick with the lean meats like fish or poultry. If you don’t eat a healthy diet, you’ll have to exercise more.
HMB is often sold as a muscle-building aid but the research purported to demonstrate these benefits is shaky at best, hindered most by design flaws. Thus, I’m not comfortable making any claims about muscle growth.

Awful. I have no issue with free apps using in app ads to pay for it. What I strongly dislike is not being able to mute the ads in “settings” prior to use! This means you cannot use app in bed or quiet/public locations. No “settings” in menu of any sort actually so UNINSTALLED.

Thanks for this awesome article Mike. I was doing some reasearch on Yohimbine and found that it can have some side effects. Some of which sound a little scary. In your opinion would it be likely to still be able to get down to as low as 6 or 7% body fat without this supplement or related supplements?
I was at 113lbs but have been eating very clean and doing 45 minutes of fasted cardio 4 times a week for the past 3 weeks, along with weight training 4 times a week. My weight training is 3 sets of 10 going max on weight that will allow me to finish the set.
This might be “bro science”, but something that has helped me during my dieting is cold showers. I heard they are supposed to get rid of “brown fat cells” or something like that. They are also supposed to increase testosterone.
Hi Mike! I have a question! Have you felt strange when arriving to low body fat levels? For example dizzy all day when moving your head and losing balance, cold hands, a little preassure in your head as very little headaches. I ask you this because I’ve been feeling dizzy all day long for a month ago and I don’t know if its because of having already arriven to a low BF%. According to my caliper and the 3meassure formula I’m in 5-6%BF. Do low BF% can have some side effects?
Great article! I didn´t understand one point, Mike. You do your cardio at nigth and take supplements with caffeine 04 hours after dinner. Does caffeine don ´t spoil your sleep? What do you eat after your cardio at nigth? In the order day, you remains fasted to do your workout?
Maintain a moderately aggressive calorie deficit, balance your macronutrient intake, use weightlifting to preserve (and even build) muscle while you lose fat, and you’ll eventually have that washboard stomach.
